Conn Creek Winery
Conn Creek Winery was founded in 1972 by David Conn and John Creek. The two men were friends and neighbors who shared a passion for winemaking. They purchased 54 acres of land in Rutherford, Napa Valley, and planted it with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The winery's first vintage was released in 1974.
Conn Creek Winery quickly became one of the most respected wineries in Napa Valley. The winery's wines have won numerous awards, including the Grand Prix d'Honneur at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Conn Creek Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most popular wines in the winery's portfolio.
The winery's vineyards are located in some of the most desirable terroir in Napa Valley, including the Stags Leap District, Oakville, and Rutherford appellations. The grapes are hand-picked and then carefully vinified using traditional methods. The wines are aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, and they are then bottled and released to the public.
Conn Creek was among a small group leading a renaissance of the Napa Valley and played a role in establishing Napa Valley’s reputation as a fine wine growing region.
Conn Creek secures fruit from vineyards in nearly all of Napa Valley’s renowned appellations that are proven to grow exceptional grapes that produce wines of character and expression.
Dark, luscious cherry and plum flavors come alive on the palate, melding with notes of spice, chocolate and licorice. Concentrated juicy raspberry and plum notes with underlying perfume and cedar. Broad, roundtannins with a touch of vanilla on the finish.
