This Kosher Wine has been produced exclusively from selected Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown at the base of the Chalk Hill vineyards in Alexander Valley. Aged 20 months exclusively in French barrels, the wine is extremely well structured, and has a pronounced character of blackberry, cranberry, cassis, as well as a rich oak bouquet reflective of the barrels in which it has been aged. Topped by hints of Bordeaux- like green pepper, this wine is an outstanding example of Cabernet Sauvignon from this appellation, and can be cellared for 8 to 10 years.--Winemaker Notes

This Herzog Special Edition Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from the grapes grown in the Rutherford District of Napa Valley; where the vines grow deep into well drained sandy loams peppered with volcanic deposits, or Rutherford Dust. Firm and rich on the palette with notes of black currant and cherry preserves,giving way to hints of caramel and cocoa powder. Balanced and supple tannins provide structure and a lasting Finish. Enjoy with grilled portabella mushrooms, roast turkey or grilled steak.
