Over the last few years, Gruner Veltliner has become very popular in fine restaurants and upscale retailers in the US, as wine savvy people began catching on to this versatile grape. But when we did in-store tastings of our numerous Grooner Veltliners, there were still many people who had never heard of Gruner Veltliner and even fewer could pronounce it. We saw a niche that needed to be filled and decided to create a brand specifically for the US market: GROONER. We have collaborated with Meinhard Forstreiter, one of our finest winemakers, to create an accessible, easy drinking and refreshing Gruner Veltliner that appeals to wine lovers as well as new wine drinkers and cost conscious customers.
