Made from selected grapes grown in our wide and beautiful areas of vineyards, this full bodied blend of 30% Syrah, 30% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinta Roriz and 10% Alicante Bouschet features an intense color with ripe black fruit and spicy flavors, well balanced with smooth tannins and a long full and pleasant finish.

With an intense ruby color, this wine presents itself with a great concentration in the nose. Extremely rich aroma with predominance of red ripe fruits and some floral notes, well integrated with notes of spices coming from the ageing in French and American oak barrels. Denomination: Vinho Regional Lisboa, Red Wine

Viticulture: Density of 4.200 Plants/ha. Clay and limestone soils
Vintage: End of August until the middle of October
Vinification: The grapes, previously destemmed, went through a pre-fermentative maceration at low temperatures for 24 hours. The fermentation occurred in 10,000 litre vats with temperature control, not exceeding 28ºC. After the fermentation the wine stayed in a prolonged maceration (cuvaison) for 15 days. The wine aged for 8 months in French and American oak barrels.

Casa Santos Lima
Casa Santos Lima is a family owned company dedicated to the production, bottling and selling of Portuguese wines. The company is present directly or indirectly in the regions of Lisboa, Algarve, Alentejo, Vinho Verde and Douro. This way and from around 400 hectares of vineyards, it produces wines known for their excellent quality/price ratio and exports around 90% of its total production to close to 50 countries in all 5 continents. Casa Santos Lima is also the largest producer of “Vinho Regional Lisboa” and “DOC Alenquer” and in the past years has been one of the most awarded Portuguese wineries in major national and international wine competitions.
Currently the company’s main headquarters (offices, wine shop and the biggest wineries) are located at “Quinta da Boavista” in Alenquer only 45 km North of Lisbon. The estate belongs to the Santos Lima family for more than 4 generations and offers ideal conditions for producing quality wines. Casa Santos Lima also has its own vineyards and winery in Tavira (Algarve) and through agreements and partnerships with other societies and producers it also manages vineyards and wineries in the Alentejo, Douro and Vinho Verde regions.
Casa Santos Lima has a very wide wine portfolio, producing every year and from 5 different regions red wines, whites, roses, sparklings, “frisantes”, “leves” and even dessert wines. This big assortment made up from various different brands, allows the company to flourish in national and international markets and is one of the reasons for a continuous and sustained growth year after year. At the moment, Casa Santos Lima is responsible for the production of around 40% of all the certified wine in the Lisbon Region and it is a major exporter of Portuguese wine.
