Solerno is a blood orange liqueur that captures the sweetness of this fruit. Solerno comes from the purplish Sanguinello oranges which grow in Sicily. The liqueur is small batch distilled in old-fashioned copper pot alembic stills and bottled in a design inspired by the famed glass blowers of Murano. It can be sipped straight or used in a variety of cocktails like the Bellini, the Cosmopolitan and the Margarita or mixed with Prosecco or sparkling water.
Solerno Description
On the sun-drenched slopes of Sicily’s Mt. Etna grows an extraordinary citrus: the blood orange. Locally, it is known as arancia rossa for the deep crimson hue of its flesh.
