91 Point California Pinot Noir!!!
Nielson By Byron Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir 2013 Todays special comes from the Santa Maria Valley in California this ideal cool coastal climate makes it one of the best places in california to grow pinot noir. Most pinot from california are light and very easy to drink after tasting the Nielson this has a lot going on. Smooth and silky with dark berries, hints of floral, earth and brown spice. This wine is medium bodied but very balanced and not light at all I was very impressed with the finish. Robert Parker rated this 91 Points and for the price point this is a great value wine worth the money. Critical Acclaim Robert Parker 91 Points !!! The 2013 Pinot Noir Santa Maria Valley is noteably more serious than the Santa Barbara release. Offering up dark cherry and black raspberry fruit to go with lots of spice, licorice and a touch of oak, its nicely concentrated, medium bodied balanced and rich, with juicy acidity coming through on the finish.
