Terrabianca Campaccio Rosso 2011

I am a big fan of wines from Tuscany especially today's special. The Campaccio happens to be one of my favorite wines. Every year it get's a great score and is always's consistent. I just tasted the 2011 vintage and after letting it open up this wine is fantastic. I total food wine and let me tell you this wine ages well so it will get better down the road. Terrabianca's 2011 Campaccio is nicely focused in the glass, with a real sense of direction and excellent energy for the year. A bit deeper and more pliant than the Riserva Croce, the Campaccio is going to need a few years in bottle to fully open up. Sweet dark cherry, plum, licorice, new leather and spice notes wrap around the seductive finish."
