William Laird emigrated from Scotland in 1698 and settled in Monmouth County, New Jersey, he was a distiller by trade he put his skills to work. He had to use something that was easy to get his hands on. Something that was easy to get his hands on in the new world is apples. Soon after Apple jack is well known for its cider spirit. Lairds Apple Jack is a blend of 35% apple brandy and 65% neutral spirit. The apple brandy gives its unique flavor of ripened apples.
