This wine was elaborated with the best fruit of different vineyards, all property of Vina San Pedro. The Cabernet Sauvignon stems from specific blocks located in the Maipo, Alto Cachapoal and Curico Valleys. The Syrah stems from two different blocks, the first located in the Alto Cachapoal, and the second, in the Maule Valley, specifically from a cuartel located in Pencahue near to where the final element: the Malbec grows.--Winemakers Note
Dark, but sleek and polished, with chocolate covered espresso bean and warm fig sauce notes that glide over a loamy but well integrated undertow. Roasted sage and tobacco chime in on the long finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Malbec. Drink now through 2012.--James Molesworth of Wine Spectator
The 2006 Cabo de Hornos Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits notes of balsam wood, spice box, toast, blackcurrant and black cherry. Layered on the palate with an elegant personality, loads of spicy fruit are nicely balanced by soft tannins. Give it 3 to 4 years of additional cellaring and drink it from 2012 to 2022.--Jay Miller of Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
