Sourced from diverse vineyards located on the Central Coast of California, the defining characteristic is coastal influence. Santa Barbara County, with its marine soils and warmer climate, provides a base of bright, lifted red fruit while San Luis Obispo County grapes add dense, black fruit and spice notes, due to rich soils and long growing season. Monterey County brings classic notes of red raspberry and earthy undertones to the mix.
Rich aromas of dark cherry, spiced plum and wild raspberry draw you in to an equally complex and intense palate built around a core of black cherry and black raspberry fruit. Juicy acidity keeps the dark berry fruit fresh and appealing, with silky tannins that bring out hints of cola, raspberry cordial and cedar throughout the lingering finish.--Winemaker Notes
