CARPINETA FONTALPINO has been for the past 20 years one of the leading producers in the southern part of the Chianti Classico region. The Montaperti area (next to Berardenga) is famous for producing very masculine, rustic and powerful Sangiovese. The owners Gioia & Filippo Cresti along with Top Rated winemaker Carlo Ferrini, created a range of wines traditionally made with innovative character. 15 years ago they planted unknown varieties in Tuscany such as Petit Verdot, Alicante and Gamay getting back fantastic results.
