OMMEGANG WITTE 750ML BOTTLE
Ommegang brewery has been opened since 1997 and is set on a 136 acre hop farm in the Susquehanna River Valley, four miles south of Cooperstown, New York. Since its opening, Ommegang has grown rapidly in early 2005, its owner said they have been unable to meet demand for their ales and as a result would add 40 percent to their production capacity over the next year.
''Semi-cloudy, pale gold with a thick, rocky head. A wonderfully fragrant nose filled with exotic spices and citrus. Unfortunately, it falls apart on the palate with barely noticeable spicing and a real lack of malt richness. The nose is great and the palate is well... not great. This brand is responsible for some real gems and sadly they missed it with this one.''
