The estate, established by the present owners in 2005, is located in Puglia in the southern Salento, between Gallipoli and Leuca, in and area called the Feudo d'Ugento, a few kilometers from the sea. The vineyards stand within a zone called the Conca d'Oro (Golden Hollow), as it is ideal for viticulture in particular. With a total of 10 hectares of vineyards, the estate grows only Negroamaro and Primitivo. With a lovely, vibrant ruby-red color, this 100% Negroamaro features ripe red fruits and berries, soft, easy tannins, and a fresh finish. A great, inexpensive, well-balanced red perfect by the glass or with a wide range of dishes! From vines ranging from 15 up to 50 years old, the grapes first macerate on the skins for approximately 12 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks and then maturate in steel for another 10 months. The wine is bottled and held 5 months before release.--Winemakers Note
